Job Description:

Mergermarket Europe is looking for a journalist to cover a 12 month maternity leave period in its London office.  The candidate will work within Mergermarket’s editorial equities division and help cover the Private Equity market. The position will be available from mid-March.

The role would entail reporting on major M&A deals and auction situations involving private equity companies across EMEA.

The ideal candidate would be an ambitious and competitive reporter with either knowledge of the private equity and investment community.

We are looking for candidates who would be comfortable in building sources, have an understanding of M&A processes and the mechanics of private equity houses alongside an urgency and temperament to work on a busy news desk.

•             Excellent networking and source development
•             Excellent interviewing technique appropriate for dealmakers
•             Strong English-Language news writing skills
•             Knowledge of a second European language would be a plus
