M&A faces a diverse mix of obstacles, including financing difficulties and a dried up IPO market, which make it difficult to speculate on the year ahead. These conditions are bound to influence M&A activity in the IT sector, and so it is not surprising that 55% of respondents expect activity in the sector to decrease, while only 25% expect an increase.
