Global M&A activity remains at a slow pace, although the re-appearance of bigger trade deals, such as the potential Cadbury/Kraft deal, demonstrate that the market is showing signs of improvement. According to mergermarket data, 979 deals at a total value of EUR114bn have been completed globally since the 1 September. In the same period last year there were 1,519 deals at a total value of EUR296.7bn.
