In July 2006 IntraLinks commissioned mergermarket to interview 60 Director, Managing Director or Partner level individuals drawn equally from leading M&A-focused investment banks and law firms based across Asia.
The aim of the survey was to gauge sentiment towards the M&A environment and due diligence process in general, and to gain an insight into any practitioner attitudes towards Virtual Datarooms in particular.
Respondents were drawn from the following Asian jurisdictions: Hong Kong; China; South Korea; India and Singapore. Given that the use of VDRs on Asian M&A deals is at a nascent stage, this research is the first to be published that uncovers sentiment and expectations for new due diligence technology.
